Sharon Roshell: A Creative Powerhouse of Purpose and Influence
Sharon Roshell is a creative powerhouse whose influence extends through her voice, her mission-driven work of purpose, and her role as a school and family services administrator. Whether on stage, behind a microphone, updating administrative manuals, or leading educational initiatives, she ignites transformation—guiding others to embrace their God-given identity and walk boldly in their current assignment. Through her powerful voice and unwavering leadership, she not only shapes the next generation of leaders but also passionately supports adult women in navigating from self-doubt to living authentically and fulfilled in every season of their lives. Across every platform she touches, Sharon remains committed to inspiring transformation, championing authenticity, and equipping others to walk confidently in their purpose.
At the age of 13, Sharon was selected to join vocalists from across the nation to perform at the renowned Carnegie Hall in New York City. This early exposure to a major stage ignited an undeniable passion to move people with her voice. However, her gift for communication extended beyond music. In high school, she became an award-winning speaker, earning top honors in statewide competitions, further affirming her ability to inspire and captivate audiences. Even as she battled self-doubt and the sting of constant criticism throughout her youth, she refused to let fear silence the gift within her.
Although Sharon initially pursued a career in nursing, she soon realized that her true passion lay elsewhere. One life-changing night at a tent revival, a preacher—whom she had never met—spoke a prophetic word over her life, declaring that her voice would bless the world. In that moment, she knew God was calling her to something greater. After prayer and confirmation, she pivoted toward her destiny and never looked back. Though she left her nursing endeavors behind, she went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Specialization in Life Coaching and a Master of Science in Human Services and Counseling—equipping herself to skillfully influence and uplift the heart.
Sharon’s faith-driven journey has taken her across North America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia, bringing healing and empowerment to those who hear her. Her ministry carries a powerful anointing, touching lives in profound ways. At one concert, a woman testified that a spirit of grief, which had plagued her since her son's passing 15 years prior, lifted as Sharon sang. Many others have shared how her words pierced their hearts as she spoke with conviction, leaving a lasting impact. These testimonies affirm the depth of Sharon’s calling—not just to sing and speak, but to do so with authenticity and passion.
Sharon has released five musical projects, beginning with God is Bigger in 2005, followed by Never Thirst Again in 2008, Church Girl 20:14 in 2014, and her Billboard-charting singles iSing (2019) and Father of Glory Live. Her most recent release, Declare and Decree Live, recorded in Nashville, TN, continues to impact audiences. With a new soul-stirring project on the horizon, she remains committed to creating music that transforms hearts and lives. Her gift has opened doors for her to share stages with renowned artists such as Tye Tribbett, Hezekiah Walker, Smokie Norful, Lauren Daigle, Newsboys, Michael W. Smith, and Matthew West.
A native of Hope Mills, NC, Sharon now resides in Louisville, KY, with her husband, Dr. Antonio D. Thomas, and their children. Together, Sharon and Antonio have founded and led multiple ventures, including Parresia Music, an independent music label, Kulima Care Family Services, a therapeutic family services and child-placing agency, and M.H.G. Preparatory Academy, a private middle and high school committed to developing global leaders.
Through every stage of her journey, Sharon Roshell has been a living testament to the power of walking boldly in one’s calling. Whether through music, speaking, coaching, or education, her mission remains clear: to empower, inspire, and ignite purpose in everyone she encounters.
